Read to Dallas ISD Students in celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday!Celebrate Seuss with local students!

Friday, March 2, 2012

Join United Way as we team with Dallas ISD to support Read Across America Day, held annually March 2 — Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Volunteers should plan to arrive by 9:30 a.m. and reading will begin promptly at 10 a.m.

As a reading volunteer on this special day, you’ll read Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax to Dallas ISD students in pre-K through second grade. Simply select the elementary school where you would like to volunteer and “speak for the trees…” to your heart’s content. Once The Lorax concludes, you’re welcome to engage students with additional story books.

After submitting this form, you will be directed to DISD's registration page to select a school and submit a volunteer application/background check. Please note: you will need to submit this and bring the confirmation page with you in order to volunteer.
